IDAC members receive registration fee discounts for all events hosted by IDAC. IDAC organizes three general symposia each year and specific-topic symposia (such as Practical Antimicrobial Stewardship) from time to time.
The Infectious Disease Association of California (IDAC) is accredited by the Institute for Medical Quality/California Medical Association (IMQ/CMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians (AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)). In addition, successful completion of the CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn MOC points in Medical Knowledge in the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant information to ACCME for the purposes of granting ABIM MOC credit.
PHARMACISTS: The California Board of Pharmacy accepts coursework which meets the standard relevance to pharmacy practice (AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s))
NURSES: For purposes of re-certification, the American Nurses Credentialing Center accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) issued by organizations accredited by the ACCME. For purposes of re-licensure, the California Board of Registered Nurses accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s).
