Membership Benefits Founded in 1985, the Infectious Disease Association of California (IDAC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation providing continuing medical education to healthcare practitioners with an interest in clinical infectious disease. Membership includes physicians, pharmacists, infection preventionists and others involved in clinical care, throughout the state of California. |

Education and Updates Winter Northern California Symposium Discount Registration IDAC Spring Symposium Emerging Clinical Issues in Infectious Diseases (2 days) Discount Registration Fall Southern California Symposium Special Topic Symposia Discount Registration on Special Topic symposia, such as our Antimicrobial Stewardship symposia series | Practice Resources Speakers' Bureau Members can participate in the IDAC Speakers' Bureau, in which outside organizations can book speakers as a CME activity Fellows-in-Training Mentoring Program IDAC offers a mentoring program for Infectious Disease Fellows-in-Training interested in clinical practice. IDAC membership is offered to ID Fellows-in-Training at no cost. Membership Directory Connect with colleagues on policies that uniquely impact infectious disease physicians and professionals IDAC Email Network IDAC utilizes its email network for emerging disease surveillance, emerging infectious diseases, public policy alerts and exchange of information among members IDAC Website www.idac.org IDAC operates a website to list symposia programs, links to other infectious disease websites and a password-protected membership area with documents and videos Careers Database of physician job postings and career resources | Advocacy and Resources Advocacy IDAC monitors and advices policy-makers on public health issues related to infectious diseases. IDAC has been a major advocate of antimicrobial stewardship in healthcare facilities and has conducted workshops throughout the state in order to help healthcare facilities implement procedures to reduce hospital-acquired infections, to improve patient care, to meet the legislative requirements and to decrease patient costs. HIV Medicine Association IDAC is a regional society of the HIV Medicine Association
California Medical Association IDAC is a recognized subspecialty organization of CMA and participates in the CMA Speciality Delegation, CMA Council on Legislation and CMA Council on Scientific Affairs. CMA accredits IDAC as a CME Provider. |
